Lou isn't working out for us. We were unable to obtain his pedigree and, to be honest, I've really been questioning whether he's actually an American Blue or not. He doesn't have the correct fur texture or the right shape (mandolin body).

He's got a few more strikes against him as well. He has a bit of a problem sealing the deal. Continue reading the story "Meet Our Newest"

But the turkeys are awesome! Not like chickens at all, they interact with you more. They Continue reading the story "Raise Your Own Turkeys"

That pretty much sums up how some of my chickens look right now.

Hank is our newest addition. We traded him for Cranberry, one of our hens. Cranberry was getting bullied by the other two hens so we felt she would do better somewhere else. It worked out well since we were in need of a tom. Isn't he a handsome Continue reading the story "Meet Hank the Tank"

Mork at 2 weeks old
Today is Mork and Mongo's last day here. Tomorrow morning they go to the slaughterhouse. Mork I've definitely grown close to. He reminds me of my cat, Jack, who is bossy, headstrong Continue reading the story "Saying Goodbye to Mork and Mongo"
