The recent nice weather has me dreaming big dreams of garden-overhaul: what plants to take out, what new plants to put in…how to put the greenhouse together, what seeds need to be started, whether or not it’s a good idea to get MORE chickens…

I haven't had Jerusalem artichokes in years. That's going to change now!
ive grown them commercially, they are…. hard to get rid of once planted, make sure every little bit comes out of the ground (dig up when flowers are dead and canes are dry) any little sliver left in the ground will grow again and keep multiplying.
Go Rick – this soup absolutely rocked! The perfect supper to take away the SF chill, sopped up with Jessa's amazing baguettes, and followed by a cup of apple mint tea and a 'flight' of two ice creams and one sorbet for dessert. (Thanks to you both!!!)
And I can attest – the garden is looking just beautiful.
anything with the word 'chowder' in it i usually love. we're making a list of edible weeds to add to the backyard. not sure if this is a weed or not but it's going on the list.
thanks!
