I love desserts. I always have. I love making desserts. Big batches of cookies, galettes, biscotti…you name it. Usually I’m even pretty good at making a big batch of sweets and then feeding them to OTHER people.

Thank you for posting this recipe! This is one of all time favorite cookies!
Self-sufficiency..kind of going back to our roots. As for the Russian Tea cakes, I totally understand as I cannot keep any cake in the house or I will eat it all especially with my tea.
Yummy! Will have to try them!
Oh man. I'm not kidding though – have a plan for them, or you'll eat them all.
It's so innocent, too – just snacking on one or two every time you pass through the kitchen…
they're just so…bite-sized.
I love Russian tea cakes, and these look tasty! It's funny, we have the same rule here when I make cinnamon rolls
Do you know if these freeze well (before rolling them in sugar)? Let me guess…they never lasted long enough to try?
I would imagine they freeze OK, but since the dough freezes perfectly and they have such a short cook time, I'd recommend just freezing the dough (you could even roll them into balls and THEN freeze them).
I would love to make these in winter to give at holidays, but I'd probably do the "mexican wedding cookie" version with almonds. I'm a glutton for all things almond/amaretto/marzipan.
These look beautiful! I know I would be shoving them in my mouth if they were in MY kitchen right now – crack cookies indeed!
So, like, when will you be making me some bear claws? ; )
Oh man. You said you'd teach me how to make croissants, right?
We can totally make bear claws. Then we can BOTH blog them.
